Students earn this reading award after memorizing all the first grade memory words. They are super excited to earn this medal partly because it is heavy enough to feel like a real medal from the Olympics. I am very pleased with them!

Poor finish

I like the heaviness and it feels substantial. However, the finish of the medal looks like gray plastic instead of a brushed metal look. I was happy with the gold as it did have the brushed metal finish but not the silver.
