Student Council Medals

Medals were nice, the students liked them, but a few of the names were misspelled on the laser engraving. I ordered them on the internet, and was sure to spell the names correctly. That is the reason for 2 stars

Good Looking Medal

Our first graders loved these! We gave them to kids who read over 250 books for the school year. We paired them with the gray and blue ribbon, which matched our school colors exactly. The medals are heavy enough to feel "real" and the size is nice and big. Another consideration is price and these were well priced compared to other sites. Over a period of a year or two, the medal tends to darken slightly - it's best to just order what you need every year and not save them for long. Note: Over the years, I've learned NOT to hook the medal to the ribbon with the tiny round ring that comes attached to the medal. Instead, I slip the hook that comes with the ribbon directly onto the medal. Less medals falling off ribbons that way! I also use a sticker on the back of each one just in case the kids mix them up with someone else. I write the name and number of books on the sticker.

The medals were great all engraving was correct. They were shipped in perfect timing. The 5th grade class loved them. This was there first year to get medals

The medals were great, good quality. I didn't really like the sticker on the back. We thought they were going to be etched. All in all they were good and we will order again. Thanks.

"Hefty" for price

I was uncertain of what to expect from a "medal" purchased for less than $1! When I received the medals and picked one up, the weight was nice. It is not like those plastic, unrealistic "dollar store" finds. Well-worth the money spent!!

The medals themselves are very good quality and the perfect size. However, many of the medals wouldn't stay clipped to the ribbons because the rings on the medals were not closed. I tried to use pliers to close the rings and they would not closed. This was frustrating for sure. I didn't have this problem last time I ordered medals.

Value Medals

I have been purchasing Math and Reading medals from Jones supply for several years. To save $$ I have opted to purchase the medals separately from the ribbons. Within every batch there are about 50 that have links (the little round holder) that are not completely closed, thus allowing the medal to become disconnected from the ribbon. This year I received 900 medals to put together (the usual amount). I was disappointed to discover many, many more links were not up to par-having to rely on a set of plyers to close the gap. I am hoping that the caliber of product was just a fluke, I will give Jones another try next year-but will need to search elsewhere if the product is sub-par again.

I was coordinating a dinner event at my church, where 14 people would each design a unique & elegant dinner table for the event. I wanted to give each of those table designers a little something as a token of my appreciation for their time and efforts. I was excited when I found these medals-they were just perfect for what I wanted to do. Reasonably priced art awards are difficult to find. The neck ribbon with the art medal added a flair of prestige to the occasion. I am already planning for them next year.

I like the medals however the ring connecting the medal to the ribbon has a gap many times and the ribbon becomes disconnected frequently. Is there a solid ring that can be used in place of this ring with a gap?
